About BCC

Burnley Camera Club has been around for some time in one form or another, and is probably over 100 yrs old (though this has to be checked and verified).  

However, we haven't always been called Burnley Camera Club... way back when, we used be called Burnley Photographic Society, but the name was changed as we felt that the name gave the club a feel of stuffiness, something we are definitely not!  After the name change we started to see an upturn in membership numbers, growing to where we are today.

We have also seen an increase in our standing amongst other Camera Club's and Photographic Societies.  This, and the growth in membership show that, despite some dark times in the past, our future is definitely shining brightly! 

Time and Place

We meet weekly at the Sion Church, Church Street, Burnley BB11 2DW.  Meetings are there unless otherwise stated on the Programme. [Map here]

Meetings are at 7:00pm for a 7:15pm start, with doors opening from 7pm.

Club Affiliations

Burnley Camera Club is a member of the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union (L&CPU) and affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).   We are also a member of the Inter Club Photographic Alliance (ICPA).
