The selected images will represent Burnley Camera Club against other clubs, some of whom have had success at the international competition level (e.g.: Wigan 10 and Chorley). Images that do well in these competitions are ones that would meet the CPAGB standard or higher so, to ensure that our club is represented to as good a standard as possible, the BCC selection committee will select the best available images from the following sources:
Internal Competitions - Placed images in any of the internal club competitions (Monthly, Facebook, and Annual)
External Competitions - Images that have done well in external competitions where they can be used in other external club competitions.
External Exhibitions & Salons - Images that have been selected for inclusion in external exhibitions or salons, both nationally and internationally. These are entered on an individual basis so you will need to make the Competition Secretary aware of images from these that you would like considering for use in External Club submissions.
PAGB Awards for Photographic Merit Submissions - Images that meet the acceptance score of 20 or more as part of a BPAGB or CPAGB submission. Images that make a DPAGB, EPAGB or MPAGB submission are expected to be have been exhibition tested so would be considered for selection in that category. Again, these are entered on an individual basis so you will need to make the Competition Secretary aware of images from these that you would like considering for External Club submissions.
If you have any questions or need any help with preparing your competition images then all you need to do is ask.
